We love delivering our Ultra Pure Water to our East Tennessee customers! A few customers spoil their pets by filling their water bowls with Ultra Pure Water (we love this!). Some customers use the Ultra Pure Water for appliances around their homes and self-care practices. Our water is JUST water. In this blog post, we will take a look at how beneficial Ultra Pure Water can be for appliances and self-care routines around your home.
Le Bleu East Tennessee delivers Le Bleu Ultra Water that is distilled. While there are several types of water you can drink, distilled is different in many ways. Le Bleu Ultra Pure Water is heated to over 212 degrees during the patent-pending process of Fractional Vapor Compression Steaming. This process ensures everything you don’t want in water – viruses, mineral deposits, bacteria to name a few – are eliminated in the final product. Le Bleu Ultra Pure Water is routinely tested by outside labs to confirm its safety and purity.
The Centers for Disease Control studied how homeowners use water in common appliances like humidifiers, vaporizers and continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines and in common self-care routines like sinus-rinsing and washing a contact lens. One third of study participants acknowledged that they use tap water for the appliances and over half said tap water was appropriate for self-care routines previously mentioned. While tap water in the United States meets safe drinking standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency, microorganisms can remain in distribution systems and premise plumbing pipes, according to the CDC.
Using tap water in appliances such as humidifiers and CPAP machines can cause those microorganisms to become dispersed through the air and into your lungs. The microorganisms may also build up on your appliances causing a biofilm that is damaging the actual machine and encourages bacteria growth inside it. Using tap water in sinus-rinsing or contact lens cleaning can expose body organs to waterborne pathogens. The CDC notes that the elderly, infants, young children, and persons who have weakened immune systems and other concurrent conditions are the most at risk when using tap water instead of cleaner water options.
